Il figlio di Jimmy Iovine parla di Eminem in una recente intervista sul podcast “The Wrestling Inc. Daily”:
“Eminem è un tipo divertente”, ha detto Iovine.
“Eminem è prima di tutto incredibilmente dotato [e] incredibilmente talentuoso, ma molto più nerd di quanto molte persone possano pensare. Prima di tutto, ama i fumetti, li legge tutto il tempo e se ascolti molte delle sue canzoni, ci trovi anche numerosi riferimenti”.
“Ricordo che quando ero con la compagnia, c’era un pacchetto che è stato fatto per WrestleMania 30. E c’era anche una canzone di Eminem, e quindi ha familiarità con il wrestling, ma non ha con esso un legame così profondo.
Em è anche una delle persone più tranquille che puoi mai incontrare in un meeting one to one. Ecco perché non fa molte interviste, perché parla molto pacatamente. Quando lo incontri, tu ti aspetti un tipaccio con la motosega e invece è tutto il contrario”.
“È molto riservato, molto silenzioso… molto timido è una parola che userei per descriverlo, il che mi ha davvero sorpreso la prima volta che ho parlato con lui. Puoi capire che ci sono molte cose che gli passano per la testa mentre gli parli, gli si legge negli occhi che ci sono un sacco di pensieri e analisi e penso che il fatto che ora sia sobrio lo abbia davvero aperto a molte più cose oltre all’hip hop. È interessato a molte più cose ora. Non sarei sorpreso se lo vedessimo in molti più film in futuro “

“Eminem is a funny guy,” Iovine said.
“Eminem is first and foremost incredibly gifted [and] incredibly talented, but a lot more nerdy than many people think. First of all, he loves comics, he reads them all the time and if you listen to a lot of his songs, you also find a lot of references “.
“I remember when I was with the company, there was a package that was made for WrestleMania 30. And there was also an Eminem song, and so he’s familiar with wrestling, but he doesn’t have that deep connection with it.
Em is also one of the quietest people you can ever meet in a one to one meeting. That’s why he doesn’t do many interviews, because he is very soft spoken. When you meet him, you expect a bad guy with a chainsaw and instead it’s quite the opposite.”
“He’s very reserved, very quiet … very shy is a word I would use to describe him, which really surprised me the first time I spoke to him. You can understand that there are a lot of things going through his head as he you talk, you can see it in his eyes that there are a lot of thoughts and analysis and I think the fact that he’s sober now has really opened him up to a lot more things besides hip hop. He’s interested in a lot more now. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him in many more movies in the future “
